Fathimath Ema Ziya - Bio

Fathimath Ema Ziya is a third-year architecture student at the University of Bath. She is passionate about architectural solutions that embrace the vernacular and sustainable methods while addressing social issues present in society. As an avid writer, she seeks to explore these solutions through both her writing and design. At the moment, she is completing her placement in her home country, the Maldives, and working on research projects related to Maldivian architectural heritage. She hopes to start her own firm in the Maldives later on where research and design work hand in hand to solve issues faced by the nation using architecture and urban design.
