Lizzie Turac-Bio

I'm Lizzie Turac, a fourth-year architecture major at the Georgia Institute of Technology. My parents are both immigrants from Slovakia which makes me a first-generation American. I am incredibly people-motivated and I love being involved at my school.

Currently, I serve my cohort as the Architecture Student Representative for the second year in a row. I also serve as the VP of Undergraduates for ECO, a club committed to enhancing our design ecosystem, and I am the VP of Undergraduates for Equity in Architecture (EQiA) where we promote equity for all in both architecture school and the professional world.

As a designer, I am very curious about the built environment’s impact on the human psyche and wellness and I aim to utilize an interdisciplinary approach to design healthy and happy cities. Overall, I am passionate about combatting real-world issues and promoting: accessibility, affordable housing, aging in place, equity, sustainability, and connectivity.
