I believe that DESIGN CAN SAVE THE WORLD! As a designer & scientist, I believe it is quintessential to learn from our past, in order to build a more sustainable future. Through taking an empathy-driven, Jane Jacobs-like approach to design; we can understand the true needs of the people, we are working to serve. This practice, grounded in human-centered design leads to innovations that will improve our built environment.
