Winta Assefa - Bio

Winta Assefa is a Saudi-born, Ethiopia-based writer, architecture student, sand-animation artist and musician. She had been enthralled by storytelling for a long time.

Winta took up architecture in EiABC, and that helped her study her new surroundings as though it were a book. Her reflective work had been featured in the Association of Ethiopia Architects’ site several times.

Winta’s writing and drawing frequently draw from her spiritual experiences. Through her work, she tries to translate her supernatural experiences and the Biblical themes she’s fascinated by into moving images and music.

You can find her work on Instagram, Telegram, YouTube and Facebook by searching for her username: @wintaassefa1.
